That Saturday was such a wonderful day!! I had my last day of teaching preschool gymnastics and my body was more than ready for a break. I then went straight to Cocok's to meet some girlfriends for a pedicure! A perfect way to end a long day of chasing 3-5 year-olds around. Then I rushed home to shower and beautify before I headed to the airport to greet my long lost hubby.

My good friends Andrea and Kristyn came over to help me morally and fashionably prepare. I don't know where I'd be without friends like these girls!!
We then headed down to the airport to await his arrival. When we got to the arrival gate, my friends Andrea, Kristyn, and Brittany, split up strategically around the area so they could photograph the reunion from various angles. They had the whole thing covered better than the paparazzi!
My friend Kristyn is so cute. She was more nervous for this get-together than I was!! I think she was also the first to shed tears.
As we waited, we could see the passengers enter the baggage claim area. When I first saw him, my heart skipped a beat. I waved like a crazy person and waited for what seemed like a lifetime for him to get his luggage and come on out. This was the play by play that Andrea captured from her vantage point.
My favorite part, aside from actually getting to hug this man, is Brittany, in all blank, and Kristyn, in a tan jacket, in the background continually taking pictures!!
I wouldn't let him go for a very long time. But then I realized, he'd never really touched my baby belly. So, he got the chance to feel the bump. She was moving but it wasn't until later that he got to feel her move for the first time. It was a bit of a shock for him, but I guess it is for everyone the first time.
The last time we had seen each other, I was only 18 weeks pregnant and didn't have much of a belly yet. As you can see we have both changed quite a bit, physically anyway. Michael took up running and lost around 40 pounds!! I gained about that much while he was away too. He still continues to run like a madman (and I still love ice cream)!!
It has been SO good to have him home. I can't tell you what a difference it has made in my mood, my physical condition and in my stress level. I feel like I can do anything now, including have a baby!! I'm so relieved that we will be here for the birth of our first child and help me out as we enter parenthood. We continue to readjust to life together, sharing schedules, meals, and pillows! But, I'd always rather have life with him than control over the remote!
Welcome home, Babe!! It's to great to have you here!!
